Hello World has received the following awards and nominations. Way to go!
The project in the quiz mode is fully customizable. It consists, on the one hand, of the question and answer registration part and, on the other, of the mobile / desktop / web application for the consumption of information.
We are talking about software that can access data from anywhere in the world and disseminate knowledge in a way never seen before, in a different way!
The target audience starts with children from 2 years old to 6 years old, who already manipulate cell phones and tablets in a way we never imagined! They are naughty !!
For this audience, the application treats them in a special way, as we need to encourage them visually, showing shapes, colors, sounds ... and start to familiarize them with the world in which they live. After all, we are preparing future space travelers and tutors for our planet!
The second age group comprises from 7 to 12 years old, where the pre-adolescent begins to want to know the reasons for life and opens a receptive window to everything that she can (and requires) to learn.
From the age of 13, the teenager starts to become more interested in the things around them.
As the application is fully customizable, that is, the questions can be assembled according to the subject, the sky is the limit! In our presentation, we will focus on the subject "Digital Stories from Planet Earth".
The application works as follows:
- The educator prepares a Quiz with several questions and makes it available to users;
- The user answers the question and already knows if it is right or wrong. After that, he is directed to a video that illustrates the answer. In our examples, we used videos made available on Youtube through the NASA channel.
- When presenting the video, the person can choose, by clicking on a button, to create a play list directly on Youtube, of the videos related to that quiz, to delve deeper into the subject. He can also share on social networks, such as Facebook and Instagram at any time during the quiz;
- For the youngsters of the first age group, the stimulation will be more visual and sound, drawing attention to what one wants to achieve, that is, the perception of the chosen subject.
- At the end of the Quiz, he learns of your score. If he reaches a reasonable level, he will have the right to download the "Image of the day", made available by the agency, directly from Nasa's website.
- As an incentive, the score of each participant will be stored on the platform and, monthly, a best publication will be made available on social networks, with photos and achievements, showing their knowledge to the whole world. This opens the possibility for the participant to interact with other people, freeing teams from forming in the Quiz.
- The application will have an option called "bypass" that allows the participant, with the simple approximation of his cell phone to that of his teammate, to take the turn to answer the next question. With that, the interaction between the people of the teams will be much greater.
Quiz programs exist in droves. What sets us apart is the approach and the encouragement of continuity!
With the type of technology used in the development of the application, we are able to offer the software on the following platforms:

We have developed the back end that enables the storage and distribution of data in a safe, fully scalable and customized way. The following web servers can be used:
- Internet Information Services (IIS)
- Apache
The database used is PostgreSQL, which has already proved to be extremely robust in mission critical tasks and extremely light in small business models.
The programming language used is Delphi (Object Pascal) which allows us to deploy to all platforms and environments mentioned above with a single source code, absurdly reducing the need for a large team for direct maintenance and updates to the sources.
We have the App developed in an embryonic state with much of what was mentioned here already available for testing.
The objective of the project is to reach the largest number of people and introduce them to their planet, our home, showing what NASA has been doing to make it a self-sustaining place, preparing it for the achievements that will come with exploration education and educating those responsible for continuing this work in the near future: our children!
