Monospaces has received the following awards and nominations. Way to go!
We propose a game based on NASA's history, in which the player needs to help build the Space agency and make the missions possible. During the game the main character will help NASA's historical figures develop the technologies and solve the problems behind humanities greatest achievements. In each phase, the player will learn how the technologies that were developed in NASA brought advances not only to space exploration but to life on earth. With this, we hope the player will understand that NASA is much more than a space agency.
We used Unity 3D as our game engine. For the game assets we used free objects from the Unity Asset Store and objects made by the team member using Blender. The game mechanics were implemented in C#. We used Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for the graphical design. For video editing, we used Adobe Premiere and Vegas.
Our team has used NASA data in order to gather knowledge about both the space agency's technology innovation history, as well as the impact all of these creations had in our society. We've explored both space missions and earthly achievements to develop an exciting and informative gaming experience, creating an opening to exploring different contents within NASA's own data.
