Hey! What Are You Looking At?

The High Energy Astrophysics Science Archive Research Center (HEASARC) archives space agencies' data from missions studying electromagnetic radiation from extremely energetic cosmic phenomena (e.g., gravitational wave detections, gamma ray bursts, and supernovae). The Canadian Astronomy Data Center (CADC) is another repository containing missions studying comets, asteroids, and exoplanets among other things. Your challenge is to create a visualization tool that can help people interested in these phenomena to access the data quickly and easily.

LEARN RADIATION

Summary

Cosmic radiation is a biggest challenge for future space missions. These cosmic radiation particles can severely affect Human cells and DNA , leading future health issues .But they're very few people who have good knowledge about space radiation . So our challenge was creating a visualization tools or learning source for people so that they can easily increase their knowledge of cosmic radiation . So we created this app named Learn radiation . This app will increase the knowledge of cosmic radiation among people.

How We Addressed This Challenge

Cosmic rays are high-energy protons and atomic nuclei which move through space at nearly the speed of light.

Space radiation is entirely different from the type of radiation we experience on earths . The continuous damage of the earth 's atmosphere is increasing the high risk of cosmic radiation effect in earth. These cosmic radiation particles can severely affect Human cells and DNA , leading future health issues .Also This can damage the astronauts immune system and increase health risk in space missions . So to create a new sustainable future and safe space missions for astronaut this space radiation requires more attention . So we create this app to increase knowledge about cosmic radiation and it's effect among people

How We Developed This Project

Cosmic radiation is a biggest challenge for future space missions . And also in future it could be dangerous for earth due to Damage of earth atmosphere. That's why we choose this category to make a visualization tools or learning source of radiation for people . So that they can be alert about cosmic radiation effects and taking steps to get rid of this problems.

So we made this Radiation learning app by using

1. java script coding language ,

2. android Studio.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

In this project we used many NASA open data source and NASA Space agency data source.

1. NASA JSON data .

2. NASa PDf Data for main information of cosmic radiation.

3. NASA Space Radiation Laboratory Data for radiation dose and unit.

4. NASA Research paper for biological effect of cosmic radiation

5. CSA cosmic radiation data

6. CNES Cosmic Radiation data

7. JAXA Cosmic Radiation data
