Hey! What Are You Looking At?

The High Energy Astrophysics Science Archive Research Center (HEASARC) archives space agencies' data from missions studying electromagnetic radiation from extremely energetic cosmic phenomena (e.g., gravitational wave detections, gamma ray bursts, and supernovae). The Canadian Astronomy Data Center (CADC) is another repository containing missions studying comets, asteroids, and exoplanets among other things. Your challenge is to create a visualization tool that can help people interested in these phenomena to access the data quickly and easily.

NASA Intermediary website between students and professors

Summary

The mission of this website is to create an online gateway between pupils, students and professors to exchange ideas, discuss interesting topics and help each other in scientific matters. On this website will be displayed discussion boards on different matter, where experienced people will have the platform to suggest their ideas. All the new NASA experiments and scientific breakthroughs will be on this site to provide users with news. The users will be able to register, play quizzes and ask questions. In the event of further improvement of this site, we will input AI technology where the bot will answer to these questions automatically and represent pure data as charts and animations.

How We Addressed This Challenge

This website tackles observing and processing not only Black Holes and the data provided by NASA about them, but also all the new scientific breakthroughs and interesting topics. The information and discussion board will be on website for registered users to use it for their improvement. We hope that we will progress this project further and make it so that people get interested in science and wish to learn more about it.

How We Developed This Project

We were inspired by this project because we wanted to have a place where people interested in science would gather and discuss their ideas, discover new subjects, learn about NASA and see the world in different aspect. To achieve this, we have used Javascript, HTML,NodeJs, CSS, herokuapp database and put up repositories on GitHub. The way the project is handled will make it very easy to improve and offer new functionalities.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We used the data to provide our website with different pictures, maps and etc.
