Hey! What Are You Looking At?

The High Energy Astrophysics Science Archive Research Center (HEASARC) archives space agencies' data from missions studying electromagnetic radiation from extremely energetic cosmic phenomena (e.g., gravitational wave detections, gamma ray bursts, and supernovae). The Canadian Astronomy Data Center (CADC) is another repository containing missions studying comets, asteroids, and exoplanets among other things. Your challenge is to create a visualization tool that can help people interested in these phenomena to access the data quickly and easily.

Space Explores

Summary

The goal of our challenge was to create a visualization tool that can help people interested in-universe to access the data quickly and easily. With the program we used - Unreal Engine we made a mobile application, where you can find information about a phenomenon like Super Nova explosions, exoplanets, etc. We believe with interactions like these we can reach a wide range of users. We used NASA API data, to find where this kinda things happened and then made a CSV file which was integrated in our application to show people the real data.

How We Addressed This Challenge

To educate general public about astronomy by making a mobile app. We hope to achive wide range of users to raise awareness of space and universe

How We Developed This Project

We love the amazing things what is happening beyond our planet. We believe it is the most interesting and the yet most unknown place we know.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

Getting images about exoplanets and their coordinates from satellite.
