Air pollution is a major global environmental health risk, causing an estimated seven million deaths across the globe annually. Your challenge is to take an interdisciplinary approach, using both Earth science and health science, and integrate different types of datasets and applications to study the effects of air pollution.

Summary

Air and COVID is a project developed by three high school students who are keen about the challange provided by NASA's Space Apps Challange with its moto "Take Action" .The project primarily focuses on research about air pollution; its sources, causes and effect on environment and public health .Also it focuses on establishing a relation with the current pandemic situation of spreading COVID -19 and air quality. And it helps to aware and prepare the public against air pollution from the data collected from numerous researches and studies in an effective and feasible way.

How We Addressed This Challenge

We developed an informative and intelligent website that provides you any information related to air pollution .It is important to aware people about the adverse effects of air pollution. We hope to solve the misunderstanding in public about air pollution by providing them facts and resources to believe on.

How We Developed This Project

We are a group of enthusiastic,creative,helpful and future oriented high students but we lack special skills on programming ,web development,etc so thus challenge was favourable for us as it pushed us out of our comfort zone to research and study different provided resources . We approached it as an informative project . We used WordPress (we don't know anything fancy) to develop our project. It was blast working with the team which contained three collage friends ,sharing the knowledge , doing research and knowing very interesting facts ,it further increased our creativity and critical thinking . We didn't faced any major problems it was an unforgivable experience

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We uses NASA's weather and a space monitoring satellite data to search about different gaseous concentration , detection of green house gases,etc. The data was very helpful .
