Atmosphere Hackers| A One Health Approach

A One Health Approach

Air pollution is a major global environmental health risk, causing an estimated seven million deaths across the globe annually. Your challenge is to take an interdisciplinary approach, using both Earth science and health science, and integrate different types of datasets and applications to study the effects of air pollution.

The effect of volcanoes and natural phenomena on air pollution, human health, and the brutality of t

Summary

Our idea is to develop an app that uses satellite images to monitor magnetic and thunderstorms, seismic and volcanic changes that occur on the surface of the Earth, and updating them automatically all time. The app is based on monitoring thermal emissions to predict the location and percentage of volcanic ash and their impact on the air. By using historical studies of changing magnetic poles, every 100 years, a global event occurs that we believe this is the cause of these viruses which appears.

How We Addressed This Challenge

It helps people to know the damages of air pollution, volcanoes and active earthquakes, and their harm to humans and public health. The higher the level of pollution, the lower the human immune system, and consequently the higher the rate of exposure to diseases such as heart and lung diseases and Covid-19.

How We Developed This Project

By using earth, environmental and computer science sciences, we were able to monitor the percentage of gases emitted from volcanoes and their effect on environmental pollution and human health, and to conduct a study of the Earth's weak magnetic field and the rate of cosmic rays entering the Earth through it and its interaction with the air and doing damage to human health and satellites.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

By using many references, including the NASA website.

Project Demo

A study using earth and environmental sciences and natural phenomena that affect the earth, such as the aurora borealis phenomenon and its effect on the brutality of the Corona virus in those countries in the northern region of the Earth.
