A One Health Approach
EcoPolice means pollution registration and country fines prescription
Summary
We want to build a map of air pollution registered by NASA AURA and other satellites, showing that industrial plants pollute even having filters nominally. Eco inspection are in the pockets of owners- oligarchs. the reason is surely economic, but health of the citizens suffer. the dataset on respiratory deaseases spread and registered Zaporizhzhya industry air pollution in time.
How We Addressed This Challenge
it is a Map. Shows that country governors are not in line with health protection laws, with real measurements rom the independent source. We project health cases map and pollution map. And we show dates when filters were really switched on. And you will be surprised - the days of president visit. The other days, million of people in unimportant. the way we see it- through third party data. GPS like net of monitoring SATs to precisely define the location and the amount ofpoluttion. Later it should be an ML trained to recognise the chemicals more.
How We Developed This Project
We heard a story from 2 independent sources, that in Zaporizhzhya industrial center, in the city with 1 ln people, you can see optically the difference when filters are swithed on, and you breath another air. Due to corrupted Eco inspections, this happened really rarely- when president of Ukraine visited the city. So other people's health is out of care.
How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project
MAps, and some data from CO2,NO2 monitoring AURA satellite. We need more precision with help of a number of positioned sats measurements to set up automatical fine prescribing system as for speed violation. To the country, for rulers to change the pollution generated in habitat area. We think that is a fight of reality vs money colored picture. That shoul influence millions of lives. WE are sure other countries have a same issue. When only facts from automatic systems can inspire changes in billion industries ecology approach.
