A One Health Approach

Air pollution is a major global environmental health risk, causing an estimated seven million deaths across the globe annually. Your challenge is to take an interdisciplinary approach, using both Earth science and health science, and integrate different types of datasets and applications to study the effects of air pollution.

Summary

our solution will be a device to process methane by 3 phases:The first a law from countries to prevent cutting and burning forests for livestock . Another law should be: livestock should be limited to big farms only, as this law is a part of our idea.The second one, will be the phase of sensors which will detect methane that will be connected to buzzer to alarm the device to start its role.The third will be the device role and it looks like levels for each gas, as each gas will go into a chain of chemical reactions. deeply, a sample of each gas will be entered to the device to go to its chain of chemical reactions as we will put the required chemicals inside the device to analyze methane.

How We Addressed This Challenge

we choose an important category from these important ones which is “observe”. Beside that we decide to work in different track due to our skills which is “A one health approach”.

our search was in the track of air pollution, its causes, impacts, and its prior solutions as our project solve the air pollution challenge that is one of challenges of the track of (observe). our challenge also process air pollution in the form of global warming. as our device will process methane that go out from livestock via a chain of chemical reactions. our idea is a low price and can be applied in places of livestock. and this device work 2 phases:

· The first, will be the sensor which will detect methane that will be connected to buzzer to alarm the device.

· The second will be the device and it looks like levels for each gas, as each gas will go into a chain of chemical reactions. deeply, a sample of each gas will be entered to the device to go to its chain of chemical reactions as we will put the required chemicals inside the device to analyze each gas to a useful and minor items or compounds. we hope to achieve our requirements of this project.


How We Developed This Project

what inspire us to work in this challenge is : we want to find the domain and the road to apply our idea, in addition that this track is very suitable for our skills. we try to develop our solution in this challenge comparing withe prior solutions as we try to link between technology and collected information to make this creative idea. and we use some soft wares to complete our project like (tinckercade) as we use it to simulate and test our sensor to be sure that it will work and also we use the aurdino to write the code of our sensor.

the challenges that addressed our team are:

1: organizing meetings as there are many competitions

2: doing more research because of our new idea and because of the short time.

3: the deadline of submition

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

as it help us in a lot of information that support our idea and solution and it save for us alot or search. and it also help us in writing some things in our project and also give us the tips of this writing.

from NASA we use NASA sites and we use some open data like tinckercade to simulate our sensor and we also use some sites beside NASA sites to know and deep our project.
