Summary
Air pollution is a major concern of new civilized world. If we found a polluted area, the more diseases will be found which is related to the respiratory system and immune systems. The effect of Covid 19 also on pollution in that, it reduced air pollution and protection of the ozone layer .And we found a solution to the problem of air pollution through a device that is placed on the nozzle of the factory that emits smoke, then we supply the speed of smoke to run a turbine to generate electricity, then we enter lithium gas to the harmful gases to give us useful gases and thus we have eliminated the pollution problem resulting from factories.
How We Addressed This Challenge
Our device idea is the only one of its type as it is new idea to deal with the pollution. The development in our idea is to eliminate all the pollution which is caused by factories smoke and it is the first idea which achieves that. That is important as It will reduce the pollution percentage and hence it will help us in many fields such as healthy ones as it will reduce the number of infected people with the diseases which is caused by the pollution as instance the bad impacts on the respiratory system, and geologically ones as it will increase the purity of the air and its quality as it will not be smoke in the air and hence the ozone layer will be fixed. That development is done by some chemical reaction with oxygen, because it is common in all harmful gases, by adding an element from the first group of the periodic table “Alkali Metals” which will be the lithium as it will separate the components of the harmful gas by reacting with oxygen and leave the other element in a reaction called “alternative reaction” and thus, it will not be found harmful gases, then we will use the separated elements in other uses such as industrial ones, as the lithium oxide (Li2O) will be formed and it has many benefits in the industrial field as it is used in manufacturing ceramic and batteries.
The other development that we have got is that we will use the smoke in generating electricity. That is an important development in the field of air pollution as it helps in solving one of the grand challenges that face our world which is the related one with the energy. By using the smoke which is one of the harmful things on the human health in solving one of the grand challenges by generating electricity. That was done by using a great pump to push the smoke with high velocity and then the smoke will move through a tube with two different diameters “Bernoulli” to increase its velocity more by increasing the flow rate of the smoke. That will increase the velocity of the smoke as possible to turn the blades of the turbine and then generate great amount of energy in little time.
We hope to use many turbines to generate to most possible amount of electricity, but the cost will increase. We also hope to have the chance to apply our device idea in all the factories all over the world as it will provide the world with many benefits which is industrial and healthy ones and will avoid us many harmful diseases hence, it will reduce the percentage of the death cases.
How We Developed This Project
As we know that the problem of pollution is facing the world in a large way and it has many damages that affect human health. This is the most important aspect for us to maintain human health. If we eliminate the problem of pollution, we will eliminate the respiratory problems and the consequent diseases that make the immune system weak but when we reduce the Air pollution the immune system will be strong to fight any virus like Covid 19 .so it will be less damage , in addition to it will lead to a decrease in the incidence of lung cancer, stroke, brain and many diseases, so this is our goal to reduce this by a large percentage through our idea and we choose this challenge too to solve another problem which is Electricity. To generate more energy by using turbines.
In the beginning, we did integration between the damages of air pollution on the environment and health, and then we did integration between Covid 19 and air pollution, so we developed the information and found more useful information. Then we made a new device to reduce the problem of air pollution by 100% as we mentioned and explained the idea of the device and the accident development that we converted the harmful gases into electrical energy that benefits the factory and useful gases that can be used in various industries. And we developed on this device that in the beginning we did not use a pump, but we used a pump due to its great importance in increasing the speed of the outside air and entering it into the turbine to generate electricity. We developed the idea that we used a gas that is suitable for most of the existing gases in the decomposition stage.
In anything, we always find obstacles that test our tolerance and understanding. This is what happened with us. But we found solutions. The first problem, which is in the project, is how to speed up the air that comes out of the factory to run the turbines, so we used the pump. Secondly, the tubes through which the air will pass from any material are made so that it does not interact with the air. And we found a solution.We are made this from glass of laboratory that don not make a reaction with a material. We also encountered a problem in what is the element necessary to add it to do the separation considering its chemical properties. We found a solution is to add lithium element.
How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project
we used a lot of graphs and data that is estimated from the satellites that work for NASA organization and make analysis to it to know amount of air pollution around the world and work to eradicate it by beneficial ways that would help the world , also we opened NASA website and use it for our research about corona virus and it is relation with air pollution in addition to using it to know the difference between outdoor air pollution and indoor air pollution and their impacts in health and use information that we get to make graphs that express our version to the topic.
