It aims to help people with respiratory diseases in the face of high levels of air pollution. Through innovative, interactive technology, using NASA data and the interdisciplinarity between health, earth sciences and technology, the application offers a warning of the invisible dangerous - air pollution - and allows its users inform each other through specific menus.
We chose this challenge to help people with respiratory diseases in the face of high levels of air pollution. We use NASA data, and interdisciplinary knowledge between health, earth sciences and technology.
The data we used was important to understand the need to be concerned with this problem and develop a solution to help people who are affected by it. According to data found on the NASA website, air quality is determined by the quantities and types of polluting gases and particles found in the air that breathe. Exposure to outdoor air pollution is responsible for about 4 million premature deaths annually, with about another 3-4 million resulting from exposure to indoor air pollution; that is, air pollution is responsible for about 1 in 9 deaths worldwide
