Air pollution is a major global environmental health risk, causing an estimated seven million deaths across the globe annually. Your challenge is to take an interdisciplinary approach, using both Earth science and health science, and integrate different types of datasets and applications to study the effects of air pollution.

The app can be used online & offlineWhen you are online and open the app, it’ll give you a permission to open the GPS, as it’ll give you a live map, the percentage of air pollution in this place, the gases you are breathing & how you can avert it. The app is so useful as often determining the rate of air pollution, it’ll tell you how harmful this rate is, either ordinary, moderate, unhealthy, extremely unhealthy. Also, there’ll be information about air pollution, its effects, places prohibited for people who have chronic disease like asthma, lung disease else more, it’ll inform you with the rate of air pollution worldwide.Also, the app ‘ll show you a graph of percentage of air pollution a

How We Addressed This Challenge

Our project is important as it is trying to aware people from one of the most dangerous phenomena in the world which is air pollution, as the application helps the user to know the rate of air pollution in his location, what gases he is breathing, how to avoid the pollution, telling him the effects of air pollution generally, offers to him the places which has high amount of air pollution, and places which is prohibited If he has a chronic disease. This application can work online and offline, if you are online once you open it, it will give you a permission to open the GPS to know your location as it is based on giving you the rate of air pollution, and once it recorded the rate it will told the precautions you should do, if you are offline some questions will appear asking you about your place, weather, clouds, after answering the question the rate of air pollution will appear and the application will do the same things as the online. Actually, we hope to get promoted to the next level and take a position globally as we believe that our application is so useful especially for people who has chronic diseases, we also, hope that our application can reach as many as possible number of people worldwide.

How We Developed This Project

As we knew how dangerous and harmful the air pollution is, and its impacts on people’s health, and on environment. In addition it is recorded that around 2.5 million people worldwide die each year from the effect of indoor or outdoor air pollution. What was inspiring us was to challenge a "one health approach" that talks about air pollution, is one of the most pollutants that the world is exposed to in all places. We wanted to know the cause and try as much as possible to solve this problem in order to be in a healthier environment. The method of our project is Creating an application through which the user knows what is the percentage of air pollution, how to avoid it and its symptoms according to the percentage of air pollution in it and more information about air pollution in order for the user to be fully aware of it. We have used xml and java to develop our project, fortunately we did not encounter us problems because we were inspired by this project and we found many methods for it, and we accomplished several things, including that we collected a lot of informations on this topic and then implemented the application and created complete data and designed it ourselves, and we also worked on presentation and video.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We have used several sources and data, including of course it was JAXA, CSA and others, this data helped us a lot ، it was very useful for us and without it we wouldn't have done this great project, we have known and took many things from them and they were among them Live maps before and after Covid-19, and this was one of the most important things that our project and our challenge talked about.
