A One Health Approach

Air pollution is a major global environmental health risk, causing an estimated seven million deaths across the globe annually. Your challenge is to take an interdisciplinary approach, using both Earth science and health science, and integrate different types of datasets and applications to study the effects of air pollution.

A one health Approach

Summary

The Health and air quality program area provides policymarks with earth observations to enhance decision making about public health worth, with special focus on environmental health issues and infection disease

How We Addressed This Challenge
  • We provide managers and policy makers with earth observations that inform decisions about air quality standards , public policies and government regulations for economic and human welfare
  • Air is all around us, but it's hard to find when harmful particulars too.
  • That's why we use NASA earth observing satellites to track air quality on our home planet. The data generated are incorporated into products like the us air quality index the public uses to make decisions that protect their health and well being from smong hanging over cities to smoke inside the house ,air pollution poses a major threat to health and climate
  • Bag filters is the device it refresh the air we breath and that convert fresh air
How We Developed This Project

Ambient air pollution accounts for an estimated 4.2 million people deaths per year due to stroke ,heart disease, lung cancer, chronic respiratory disease

  • To reduce the death in the world we develop this challenge
  • We use tools in NASA space apps.
How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We use NASA resources

Project Demo

Air quality is closely linked to the earth's climate and ecosystem globally many of the drivens of air pollution (combustion of fossil fuels) are also sources of green houses gas emissions policies to reduce the air pollution

  • Synthesizing evidence and knowledge on air pollution
