My project idea was to create a website that shows the relation between Covid19 spread and the air quality. Recently scientist discovered that fine dust is responsible of covid19 spread. Virions (or "particles") of coronary viruses are spherical particles between 0.06 micron and 0.14 micron in diameter, averaging about 0.125 micron, measured by electron microscope; Dust particles are usually in the size range from about 1 to 100 µm in diameter. This means that Sars-CoV-2 can stick to fine dust. My project wants to show that a good Air Quality is important for a healthy life and it’s important to stop respiratory outbreaks.
I firstly used Figma for a prototype design. After that I started developing the website with aHTML and Javascript. In my project the Google Map API was fundamental.
Initially I wanted to develop an IOS app but I found some difficulties with the map design.
I used some online resources (Government websites, University studies) and the files that are available in the challenge dashboard. The Nasa's COVID-19 Data Pathfinder was fundamental to analyze the Air Pollution drop in countries like the US. I also used the air pollution stats provided by the WHO.
