A One Health Approach

Air pollution is a major global environmental health risk, causing an estimated seven million deaths across the globe annually. Your challenge is to take an interdisciplinary approach, using both Earth science and health science, and integrate different types of datasets and applications to study the effects of air pollution.

AIREGO

Summary

AIREGO is the project that will help to spread information, about air pollution on our planet, also it will help our population to take action to solve the problems in their regions.AIREGO basically is a tool that will be placed in parks, it's close to touchscreen and will provide lots of options. First of all, it will change the color based on the air condition around it, so it always shows if there is any problem. Secondly, it has an option not only to give out information but also people can buy and plant trees, bring and test air from any place, even from their home.

How We Addressed This Challenge

Our project helps us to monitor air quality, make future predictions according to the data, motivate more people to be the part of this project and help our planet and future generations too. The device our project is about has air testers and gives the user a chance to plant a tree.

How We Developed This Project

We developed an innovative idea, created a relevant website and design for the tool.

Coding languages we used in the project: Python with the framework Django, some JavaScript with CSS and HTML.
