This challenge addresses a pressing global need to track change in biological diversity, which is threatened by human-driven environmental change. Use space agency data to develop innovative ways to detect biological diversity on Earth, track and predict changes over time, and communicate that information to scientists and society.

This project uses high level data sets from NASA earth science satellites and on ground research centres to monitor trends and changes in the biosphere. This helps us predict the various outcomes and effects caused by human intervention and global evolution.The portal we developed(website), will alert such drastic changes like water level rise/fall, weather pattern changes, migratory path changes, and natural disasters.This portal will pin point the area and show the latest human changes or human activities performed in its surroundings and help us understand and rectify the issue at hand.

How We Addressed This Challenge

This project uses high level data sets from NASA earth science satellites and on ground research centres to monitor trends and changes in the biosphere. This helps us predict the various outcomes and effects caused by human intervention and global evolution.

The portal we developed(website), will alert such drastic changes like water level rise/fall, weather pattern changes, migratory path changes, and natural disasters.

This portal will pin point the area and show the latest human changes or human activities performed in its surroundings and help us understand and rectify the issue at hand.

It plays a vital role in controlling global warming, climate changes, and the depletion of biodiversity in our planet.

This works by collecting data obtained by the satellites and looking for drastic changes in any of the pre-existing patterns. Once any drastic change is detected, it raises an alert which tells us about the area and the different parameters that have undergone changes. With the help of this, the ground station can respond by taking appropriate action to study and correct the change.

This is important as it covers areas which cannot be physically monitored at all times. There will be ground cameras and sensors that will be placed in the regions that require monitoring. With the help of these ground sensors and the satellites, we can obtain the visual and statistical data corresponding to any particular area.

We hope to achieve efficient and accurate bio life monitoring systems that can not only monitor changes, but also predict potentially harmful situations that may occur in the near future. We believe, that with this initiative, we can come up with solutions for any problem, well in advance.

With the data we get, we can predict upcoming disasters, due to which, we can plan ahead, and overcome the problem, in any specific region.

This portal will also pin point the regions which need immediate help, which makes it easier to prioritize which problems need saving, as soon as possible.

We used Nasa Earth data science, jaxa himawari and EOSDIS for the data sets used for monitoring and surveilance.
