Planet, With People

Your challenge is to build on the Human Planet Initiative of the Group on Earth Observations to apply new methods for mapping attributes of human populations. How can Human Planet data from NASA and other sources be used to improve or update maps or other information important to a problem that concerns you? Design or create a tool or service to accomplish this.

CRA - Fast confirmation of appointments

Summary

Our project aims to simply confirm the consultation / exam / return. This is a reality today in some private clinics (calling patients to confirm appointments). But this method of validation is almost impractical at the SUS level. Londrina alone has about 600 thousand inhabitants, most of whom consult in the public health system. Our proposal comes down to the creation of an application, a system that the patient can quickly and easily view the appointment schedule. Using this tool as a simple confirmation and cancellation of the consultation. Bearing this in mind, our project aims to build a scheduling system, requiring confirmation to perform the procedure, be it consultation, examination.

How We Addressed This Challenge

This project proposes to create an application that allows access and confirmation of consultations and exams requested by the doctor, in order to reduce patient absenteeism. Public Health, that was the key word that moved our team, Visionaries.PR, concerned with the delay in attending exams and consultations or not showing up as this represents a huge financial loss for SUS (Unified Health System) and a even greater harm to citizens and businesses that receive exams. Who loses in the end is the patient, having to wait weeks, even years (depending on the specialty) for the long-awaited consultation.

It was with this in mind that we are creating and proposing the system for confirming appointments and exams, the CRA (Fast Confirmation of Appointments). Another reason for not performing a certain procedure is the loss of the medical order (examination / consultation guide). To avoid this problem, we would adopt a simple system, QR Code instead of this guide.

The CRA program aims to reduce absenteeism and improve people's quality of life, for a large part of the population depends on public health and when a person does not go to a scheduled appointment, they end up taking the place of a person in need.

How We Developed This Project

Our goal was with a simple program, we could reduce the time that a person waits in line to get an appointment

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We don't use the system, we use the Ministry of Health system
