Sleep Shift Scheduling Tool

Sleep loss and fatigue may lead to reduced performance and an increased risk to safety during many activities, including spaceflight. Your challenge is to develop an operational sleep shift scheduling tool that provides autonomous customization of a schedule for sleep, exercise, and nutrition to manage fatigue.

CIRPOD - Your Circadian Tracker - ‘Wherever You Are’

Summary

Sleep loss and fatigue leads to reduced performance and an increased risk to safety in astronauts. We have developed an AI based Circadian tracker-CirPod. It tracks fatigue and its common causes and how to deal with those causes. One scan determines physical activity, stress, physical exertion, hydration, heart rate, weight (as this can be a cause of fatigue),circadian rhythms, and more. The CirPod sleep pods are sufficiently spacious (though the whole system doesn’t consume a lot of space) and is specifically designed for astronauts. CirPod has a backup power system in case of an emergency. It gives pitch dark atmosphere to sleep and ambient sounds as rain, water fall etc to help sleep.

How We Addressed This Challenge

The CirPod systems state that weather these astronauts are in need of exercise. Subsequently these astronauts exercise in their CirPod. The CirPod also turns in to a sleeping pod and be strapped on the wall Pod.

CirPod can measure symptoms and predict ad prevent your future injuries and diseases. Not only space travel, but CirPod technology will have a significant role for clinical investigation and in delivering health care. Cirpod is designed to assess form, force, fatigue, and fitness. As the slogan says, ‘Wherever You Are’, Cirpod may be accessed anywhere on Earth (or space!) – although the space model is more sophisticated than the one on earth (which is still sophisticated). As you can see, the model specifically designed for Earth has a dissimilar look to the one on space. This is because it is not designed for sleeping. Nevertheless it tracks physical activity, stress, physical exertion, hydration, heart rate, weight (as this can be a cause of fatigue), and circadian rhythms. With sensors that are dynamically sensitive, and accurate. For astronauts, the dynamic technology will determine the circadian rhythm and create a schedule based on weight, physical activity, exertion, stress

How We Developed This Project

We believe that worlds most difficult job is being an astronaut. It comes with it all. The stress, tension, loneliness, fatigue etc. We have suggested an AI based system which needs some machinery work to create a pod with a sleeping seat( bed) which becomes an excising machine which becomes a circadian tracker.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We have used NASA , JAXA and ESA data about sleep patterns and problems of astronauts and they were helpful to focus in our project and product to align what space needs.
