Our solution is to develop a smart watch that is capable of scheduling the daily objectives for the mission and the astronaut's needs of nutrition, exercises, and sleep. The project addresses the challenge in developing autonomous customization of a schedule for sleep, exercise, and nutrition to manage fatigue for the astronauts.
We saw that this problem is common for all the astronauts moreover, we were so exited to work on this problem a generate a good solution for this problem. After we had found an idea for this problem and the solution is to make a watch. We are dreaming to convert this watch to a real one like apple watch or Samsung watches to not to be just a prototype. We used C++ as a programing language, ESP8266,OLED 1306,4 buttons, PCB board 30x30,Buzzer,Vibration motor, Lipo battery, Battery charger chip,4 transistors, 5 resistors, RTC module
We used them to know the prior solutions for the same problem in addition, we search about the factors of sleep disturbs on this websites. For Instance, FCL Agency.
One important problem astronauts are facing today is sleep regulation. Astronauts must have the sufficient amount of sleeping in order to be able to carry out the mission objectives. Our solution is to make a smart watch that is capable of creating a detailed work/rest schedule according launching and landing time, mission objectives, exercises, nutrition, crew number, and shift mode. The solution will be built using Arduino, which is connected to a Wi-Fi chip that would make it easier to control some operations on the space ship remotely. The watch will have the ability to make the detailed schedule with capability of re-scheduling in case of anything goes wrong, whether it was waking up in the middle of the night to drink some water or sleep disturbs.
