Sleep loss and fatigue may lead to reduced performance and an increased risk to safety during many activities, including spaceflight. Your challenge is to develop an operational sleep shift scheduling tool that provides autonomous customization of a schedule for sleep, exercise, and nutrition to manage fatigue.

Summary

We have created a Python program that asks the astronaut about their time commitments, and based on that, can create a smart, 24 hour schedule that will fit all their physical, nutritional, and personal needs. We used the NASA website to figure out exactly how much time they would need for each thing like sleep, exercise, and more

How We Addressed This Challenge

Our project is able to develop a schedule for the user based on how much exercise and sleep they need, as well as their personal time commitments.

How We Developed This Project

For this project, we first spent about an hour looking through the NASA website to find the needed data. Then we developed our code 3 different times in different languages, and decided that Python was the only language that worked for us. Finally, we made some edits, recorded our video, and filled out these questions.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We used data from NASA.org to figure out how much food, exercise, and sleep an astronaut needs, then built this into our project.
