Sleep Shift Scheduling Tool

Sleep loss and fatigue may lead to reduced performance and an increased risk to safety during many activities, including spaceflight. Your challenge is to develop an operational sleep shift scheduling tool that provides autonomous customization of a schedule for sleep, exercise, and nutrition to manage fatigue.

Morpheus | A Healthy Sleep Scheduling Tool

Summary

A Sleep Scheduling Tool that will help staff to get proper sleep, exercise and nutrition routines that matches their activities before, during and after missions.

How We Addressed This Challenge

What did you develop?

  • A sleep scheduling tool

Why is it important?

  • To provide a healthy way to get adequate rest to improve personal performance.

What does it do?

  • Gets input from the user and available mission data to generate a sleep schedule that tries to avoid fatigue and sleep deprivation related health and cognitive issues.

How does it work?

  • Gets existing user data and compares it with the user's data gathered via an initial test to evaluate and suggest an sleep schedule according to results.

What do you hope to achieve?

  • A solid start for an AI-Powered app that analyzes all the data, processes it and delivers a real time sleep schedule.
How We Developed This Project

What inspired your team to choose this challenge?

  • The love for a great nap and good sleep motivated us to create a way to solve this challenge. Also It's our first Online Hackathon.

What was your approach to developing this project?

  • Define the workflow to have a better understanding of the questions to asks.

What tools, coding languages, hardware, software did you use to develop your project?

  • Miro (collaborative whiteboard)

What problems and achievements did your team have?

  • Not enough Project Management Skills, we stumbled upon defining the project bases as well as the next steps.
  • Not that many people into the team.
