We have developed a software, which asks the user about their age, gender, height and weight. The program then uses our algorithm to determine certain hours of sleep that the astronaut should get. We then also provide a certain time table for the astronaut during which the astronaut should get his/her sleep. We have also kept in mind that all astronauts can not sleep at one time, so we have designed it in such a way that other astronauts' times don't overlap. We would like to further implement more parameters like health conditions to determine the sleep, but due to shortage of time, we have not included that part. This is just a prototype, and we hope that space companies like SpaceX and NASA do implement this idea.
We were reading articles about astronauts when we came across a report that stated astronauts do not get enough sleep, and hence don't give their full output. We have thus developed this software that can help astronauts to manage their sleep time-table.
We used data from many health divisions to determine how much sleep should an infant get, or how much should an overweight person get. This data helped us develop our algorithm.
