Welcome to Space Apps Charleston
We are pleased to announce that Space Apps is coming this year virtually hosted in Charleston, SC, being held from October 2-4, 2020. In honor of Charles Bolden, Jr., NASA's first black administrator, we invite you to be a part of our mission and join hackers from all over the world!
What to expect
Participants will use NASA's data to create solutions to the challenges specified for this hackathon. Challenges will open near the date of the event, and participants will join teams, or bring their own teams to work towards the solutions. Challenges will be chosen on the day of the event by the teams. We will have one whole day of coding, and one day for a presentation pitching contest, where a jury will decide who will qualify for the global competition. The hackathon won't be held overnight because of our host working hour restrictions, but teams can continue to work on their projects and seek for help from organizers.
