Are you excited for Space Apps 2020, Toronto?!

Well we - the Students for the Exploration and Development of Space - Canada (SEDS - Canada), RU Hacks at Ryerson University, and the Astronomy & Space Exploration Society at the University of Toronto (ASX) -- are excited to be hosting it!

Online-only for the first time ever, NASA’s annual International Space Apps Challenge has been the world’s pre-eminent space-themed hackathon for eight years running -- and Toronto has always shown up strong. This year, we’re once again looking forward to Toronto’s many interdisciplinary innovators joining us for a weekend full of coding, engineering, analysis, design, and artistry. With data from NASA and the Canadian Space Agency, Torontonians will solve some of the world’s most pressing space-based issues, and at least two teams will be nominated to compete against their peers internationally.

Registered participants are currently being invited to our private Discord server, where special Space Apps Toronto guest lectures and workshops will be hosted during the event. Mentors and other resources will also be available through the platform.

Are you excited for Space Apps 2020 and under 18?!

Then please consider our special SpaceApps Toronto Youth event! Organised in collaboration with Indus Space, this event will run simultaneous to the main hackathon and is targeted at space pioneers in middle and secondary school. Everyone of all ages is welcome in the main event, but the youth event will be guaranteed child-friendly, with experiences, workshops, and speakers tailored to a younger audience!
