FRC Team 226 - The Hammerheads x Space Apps
What is the Space App’s Challenge?
Now in its 9th year, NASA’s International Space Apps Challenge is an international hackathon for coders, scientists, designers, storytellers, makers, builders, technologists, and others in cities around the world. During the Space Apps weekend, teams of up to 6 members engage with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) free data to address real-world problems on Earth and in space. This year, FRC Team 226 - The Hammerheads invites you to compete at our local Space Apps event on October 3-4, as part of an entirely virtual celebration of the 9th annual Space Apps Challenge.
Are you eligible for our local event?
You can sign up for this hackathon if you are a K-12 student. You will register as an individual, and not as a team.
How can you sign up for our local event?
You can register for this event via the registration box on this page. More information will be provided to participants through email after signing up.
Why should you get involved?
Traditionally, hackathons are technology development marathons that draw on talents such as software developers, engineers, scientists, and anyone with a passion and desire to have an immediate impact on the world. Hackathons are open to anyone and are focused on developing real solutions to global challenges. For this year's challenge, we will be bringing together the Michigan student community to participate in our event.
The winners will be awarded a chance to participate in the International Space Apps Challenge!
