LYNX BK-1 has received the following awards and nominations. Way to go!
According to our researhes about the past space travels we realized that astronauts are struggling while they are using tools in space environment. So decide to make tools that are used just the press of the one button. Basically we add motors and gearboxes in order to automize the tools. So when you press the button of the tool it starts to rotate motor shaft and converted to vertical movement by the gearbox that we designed. We hope this innovation in commonly used tools make everyday tasks easier for the astronauts that are already have more important jobs rather than thinking about how to use tools propperly in space.
Firstly we started our project by making researches the past travels and tools that are used in space. After our researches about the past space tavel we came to a conclusion that most of the astronauts are suffering from the tools that are hard to use ın harsh environmet of the planets such as moon. So we came with a idea that designing tools that can be operated just the press of a one button. We started designing two commonly used tools in enginnering which are pliers and component cutter. We used Fusion 360 for the design of the tools' body, visiual studio for our website (https://lynxbk1.netlify.app/) and C for the coding of the tools.
We use space agency data in order to get information about the past geology tools and what difficulties that they may face in spacesuits while using these tools. Also we tried to look from their perspective in past days that technology hasn't been developed when compared to our modern world and bring new innovations that make tools easier to use for astronauts that already have a bunch of tasks to complete in space.
