Virtual Planetary Exploration

Your challenge is to create interactive 3D models of equipment (e.g., planetary geology tools) that future space explorers can use for activities like exploring a planetary surface.

TOOLS-X

Summary

TOOLS-X enable the user to view the planetary tools in 3D and also in AR mode. The user can find the information about the tool below the 3D model. The related images can be found below the description. The website are categorized into moons, asteroids, and planets. Each section will leads to the desired categorized tool. The website is created and hosted using the Glitch platform. For the 3D we have used Fusion 360 and TinkerCAD. For enabling the model in the webpage; model viewer script is used. The icons in the categories page is created in Adobe Spark and it is licensed under creative common. All the resources that we have used are under CC.

How We Addressed This Challenge

We developed the webpage which helps user to know about the tools used in space in 3D and AR view. It is important to know about the tools which helps the future space visitors. With the help of model viewer script we achieved enabling the 3D models in webpages. We want to help the users to gt a clear perspective of the space tools and it's purposes. TOOLS-X.

How We Developed This Project
  • We created the webpages using Glitch.
  • For 3D models we have used Fusion 360 and TinkerCAD.
  • With the help of model viewer, we have enabled 3D models in the webpages.
  • Finally, thanks to all the open source data's.
