We have developed an application in which the 3D visualization of space exploration geology tools along with the interactive Augmented Reality is listed and can be used by the users irrespective of space and time. While studying every student experiences an issue to visualize things he is reading/learning from the textbook.
With time, space exploration is obtaining more and more refined attempt to impress, awe and overwhelm. As we are becoming more dependent on technology, new ways are invented in the field of education for amusing students. However, during this space, the learning/understanding quality is something that should not be compromised. Poor learning quality may not only compromise the knowledge part but also turn out to be a risk for students future.
This application introduces the tools that are used in space exploration in a new interactive and informative way. Visualizing the tools while studying will help the students to learn the concept more effectively and easily than traditional learning method.
While learning about a specific tool, students can project the 3D models on their desired plane spaces and can interact in several ways like scaling, translate and rotate etc.
The use of AR in education intensifies the urge of learning in students. Helping the students to conceptualize visuals, keeping students engaged in space and growing interest in students about space exploration.
1. Created New Unity Project
2. Create Home Menu Page
3. Design and develop 3D models in Blender
4. Import 3D models in Unity
5. Create and setup Scenes with Google ARCore
6. Connect the scenes and animate using C# script
7. Create a library with collection of Astronomy books and movies
8. Build the Project
9. Generate Application.
The Space Agency Data helped a lot during the initial stage of requirement analysis, information gathering. We went through all the resources provided to understand the tools that were used during the Apollo 11 mission so that we can provide the accurate and errorless information about the tools for the future explorers through our Application.
