Your challenge is to use satellite data to create a machine learning model that detects a specific phenomenon and build an interface that not only displays the detected phenomenon, but also layers it alongside ancillary data to help researchers and decision-makers better understand its impacts and scope.

Summary

There is a lot of information launching in this world. But they will be valuable if it can be used in our daily life, especially to support or assist our life safety. A huge NASA information contains many valuable data for this purpose. How We Addressed This Challenge

We created our own Webpage which can conclude related useful Disaster Data from JAXA and ESA. We can get Tsunami statistics from JAXA as well as Climate change/Sea Level from ESA plus other Disaster alerts. Meanwhile, we have also created our own Application to receive the Disaster alerts which will send the alert from our webpage. Moreover, we have built up our own Emergency Station which includes Emergency Drone and Emergency Robot.

 

Once there

is any disaster, the data from NASA will be retrieved and sent to our Application.

So those who uses our Application will be able to get the Disaster warning in

specific area. Only the people who are located in the disaster area and have

our Application on their smart watch / smart phone, etc., they will all be

noticed for this alert.

 


As the same time, Once there is the same disaster, the same signal will be sent

directly to our Emergency Station. Our Emergency Robot will be driven out to

find the injured people, the number of them, the location they are, etc. and

then driven back to Emergency station with those data. Once our Emergency

Station can be capable getting the injured people information, our Emergency

Robot will be ready to move out to help them.

 

With those

functions, we believe we can bring the NASA information applied with our

Application and Emergency Robot helping our people from Disaster.

How We Developed This Project

Can you remember disaster in Thailand which it’s the biggest loss and many people passed away, over 200,000 people? And this kind of Tsunami had not happened in Thailand before. And Nowadays, we may have heard there are earthquakes happened everyday and more often. Who knows? We might face another Tsunami very soon!

 

All

natural disasters are closed to our humanity every second!

We would

like to protect our beloved, our family as well as the disabled people.

This is

our passion to move on this project.


Our team has 5 people. We all discussed together and used our own strength to apply all in this project. Our Webpage Designer, he was doing on web design by following our brainstorm discussion bringing necessary disaster, related satistics, etc working on the web.

Our

Application Developer was also following the main concept by receiving those

data and set alarms to those who uses our application. Our Graphic designer

also worked hard drawing and making animation into story board letting educated

people in easier way.

Last, but

not least, our hardware / electronic push hard effort on built up Emergency

Robot / Drone with signal alarm sound and light.



We had tried many coding and many programs for this project.

Finally, we chose as below for our project.




  • Codepen for our application
  • Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 and PHP HTML CSS and Java Script for website
  • created our mockup of Emergency Robot by Lego with Microbit Electronic circuit, sonar equipment, light, sound, etc.
  • Drone merging the command on Ipad

 

Crisis is always opportunity. During brainstroming, with limited time and equipment. Anyhow, our team had tried our hard effort to get the best solution for EMBoT Project. Finally, we can present how these 3 parameters (Webpage, Application & Emergency Station) can be merged and how work together for helping our people around the world.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

Yes we decided to use ESA and JAXA to merge into our project. This is because we prefer to use the disaster information as well as climate change and also geographic data from those data sources.
