Automated Detection of Hazards

Countless phenomena such as floods, fires, and algae blooms routinely impact ecosystems, economies, and human safety. Your challenge is to use satellite data to create a machine learning model that detects a specific phenomenon and build an interface that not only displays the detected phenomenon, but also layers it alongside ancillary data to help researchers and decision-makers better understand its impacts and scope.

Summary

A platform that aims to prevent catastrophes, the platform has the function of identifying natural phenomena as well as preventing them in the future. As an example, the system can detect the increase in soil temperature when it will become propitious for combustion which has the consequences of starting possible fires.

How We Addressed This Challenge

As a differential, the project will not only inform but also detect, analyze and create possibilities to combat the phenomena thus having analysis and action to it.

How We Developed This Project

The idea was to create a medium, a platform that would not only identify a problem but analyze it and create means of combat, we want to develop the idea that would generate harmony between action and the detection of phenomena.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

At first, the data entered into the project engine (machinelearning) the information obtained by the “Worldview” will be analyzed by the machine, and so it would analyze them and with the programming once inserted it would identify them by itself, and thus alert potential potentiates of the phenomena. to the competent bodies that would make it available to the population thus acting as quickly as possible.
