NDV-CLI (NASA's DATA VISUALIZING-COMMAND LINE INTERFACE)
Summary
We developed a prototype of CLI which will interact in real-time with client/users in a creative, entertaining, simple and fun way to access the NASA's Earth data and get relevant information for the user.With the use of API we can establish link between users/clients to all the servers of NASA's Earth dataset to extract required information and acts as a single platform for users to access the earth data in user-friendly way. We along with this created a recommendation system which will recommend most frequently used API's by just typing a keyword like rainfall which gives API's such as JAXA,GPM etc.
How We Addressed This Challenge
We developed a CLI which can interact in real-time with client/users in a creative, entertaining, simple and fun way to access the NASA's Earth data and get relevant information to user. It is very important as it only asks for a keyword to recommend most used API's to common people to use it to potential visualize and predict natural phenomenon for their interest. By just creating a CLI we
hope to achieve a more interactive and user friendly precise data visualizing system to recommend APIs , visualize data and predict user interest to solve needs of their own.
How We Developed This Project
We had started with benchmarking, on the first go, we studied the existing systems, what is the user flow, user journey and what all are the pain points for the user. After studying the existing system and pointing out the pain points, the only best way to develop an creative idea we started with brainstorming. Inspired by the application of Earth datasets by NASA, and how it can be a boom for humankind. We formed 5 P.M. with a mission to make all these a reality. We used webflow for web-development, python library, java packages, JAVAX APIs , Dense Neural Network, Machine Learning. The problems we have right now is that we need at least one year to make these project fully working by connecting all the earth data set of all the renowned organization around the world.
How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project
We created an API which can establish link between users/clients to all the servers of NASA's Earth dataset to extract required information and acts as a single platform for users to access the earth data in a easy way. We aim to harmonize the data coming from different API's to a single executable form and then used Artificial neural networks for recommending most used API's for keyword entered by our user for easy access of data of his\her interest.
