Home Planet at Your Fingertips

Develop a user-friendly application or tool to discover, visualize, and analyze NASA Earth data for monitoring our home planet.

Lawin

Summary

The team were challenged to develop a tool or application to allow users to discover and potentially visualize NASA Earth datasets that can help users monitor our home planet and improve their daily lives. With that reason, the team members came up with a web app called "Lawin". The said web application aims to serve as an online library for the students at home especially during online classes. This app provides legit articles with regards to NASA's data about science, natural phenomenons, weather's and scince current events which make the students easy for them to read and understand. This app also features multilingual tools, that allows language translations which you're comfortable with.

How We Addressed This Challenge

Our project has a vision to help the students by providing accurate informations related to the Space, Astronomy, and Natural Phenomenon. Why we picked this category? Because, we believe that through observations, we can have ideas and turned into reality. The problem we observed was related to the students. They are vulnerable also, not really aware to the accurate news--they can easily persuade by the posts or memes they see in social media.

How We Developed This Project

We developed a website which is Lawin. It's important because, we make sure that we just provided accurate iinformations. It works by visiting the website, you can click the pictures and it will show you the article about each of the picture with references. We hope to achieve many readers and visitors in our website so, our vision will be successful.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We make sure that the 4 articles came from the NASA references. since, we want to be sure that our informations will share to the students are all accurate and not just get to unreliable resources.
