Summary
We created solutions under the title of "Home Planet at Your Fingertips" in order to raise awareness of people and make our world a cleaner and healthier place. Our site named NULIS has up-to-date data and information under 8 main headings:carbon emission, environmental pollution, seismic update, dust transport, weather, information, what can I do, feedback. Based on these, people can plan their lives and take precautions. They can also worry about the world and move on.We aim to raise awareness of this young mass correctly and to reduce ecological problems by carrying the burden of the world on their shoulders like our mascot Atlas.
How We Addressed This Challenge
Our solution was to create this site called ‘NULIS (National Upgraded Life Information System)’. Our site provides up-to-date data and some articles about the topic of your choice. The topics you can choose are: Carbon Emission, environmental pollution, seismic update, dust transport, weather forecast with an extra information page and a “What Can I Do?” page to inform people about what they should do to protect our world. Let me give you an example. Let’s say i want to learn about air pollution in my city. I go into NULIS, click ‘Air Pollution Data’ and a site will show up and i will get the information i wanted. And not only this, i can also find an article specifically written about this topic which is about air pollution and what to do to reduce it. So, what do we hope to achieve? We want to spread awareness about the problems of our world and provide some tips to help solving those problems and live in a better world.
How We Developed This Project
We wanted to make world a better place so we thought of problems of our world. First things that came to mind were pollutions. After a little research, we realized that this is a really important topic to talk about. We aimed to raise awareness about all those problems and to reduce ecological problems by carrying the burden of the world on our shoulders like our mascot Atlas. And then we thought “What can we do to upgrade this site?”. Then we thought of daily things we might need. That’s where dust transportation came. And finally, we began to do our website. We did our website in wix.com and we drew some of the graphics we used on our site on IbisPaint. We still have a lot of plans and a lot to add to our site, we even think about making a mobile app!
How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project
We used two websites of NASA. One of them is under our Extra Information topic and about Earth at Night. The other one is under our Dust Transport topic and presents informations about Dust Transportation.
