Home Planet at Your Fingertips

Develop a user-friendly application or tool to discover, visualize, and analyze NASA Earth data for monitoring our home planet.

Summary

Weather report application is a web based application through which you will able to get all the reports related to weather forecasting of any locations. Its geographical locator which will be received through your browser setting and server configuration will automatically identify the location and able to present its weather details such as temperature, direction of wind, rains, humidity etc. To change the location you will just have to select the options provided below to get its details. Its new avatars and feed burner will also allow its users to get the weather reports directly to their mail, when they were not able to access this particular domain or even when the server is down.

How We Addressed This Challenge

Previously built weather report web based application was compatible with system and every time users start this application, they have to set their default location to get weather reports on it. Due to complex coding, system responding time was high and require more memory to get start up. The concept of graphics for geographical region was not implemented in older version. Dynamic concept was not implemented under the existing system, thus theme and color of web page was not changing as per the weather report. At present we don’t have much faster application which can put the mark either it’s safe to do any mission regarding flight, spaceship, etc or not. Our main object to develop this project is to give the real time performance of weather.

Laser are commonly seen in several ordinary commercial applications, such as bar code scanners, laser pointers, CD players, CD-ROMs, videodiscs, laser surgery, and laser-light shows. However, lasers have many other applications as well. It offers a high-speed way to process various materials and hence is being used on a large scale in various industries. For instance, lasers enable us to communicate and transfer massive amounts of information, monitor environments, provide protection from aggressive military attacks, and probe the deepest reaches of space and understand the origins of the universe.

Lasers will have a myriad of applications in space, the following of which will be high lightened:

·        Laser communications.

·        Lasers for environmental and remote sensing

·        Space-based laser defence systems

·        Lasers for astronomical applications in gravity wave detectors

How We Developed This Project

Under web based weather report application, some exciting features has been added such as managing and handling exception error directly by the system which will be not visible by the user to make it bug free.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We have used the data for predicting and calculating accuracy.

Project Demo

Multiple choice provided to the user by which they can even select different weather channel as per their requirement and interest in it. Its pattern recognition system will able to notify abut bad weather condition previously before it begins with digital graphics is another added advantage of this system. Once location selected by the user for its system use, it will make it default location and remembered by the system so that users do not have to change every time they use this system. We have used ABC algorithm. This is all about to give the rough idea with programming animation of laser.

PROPOSED SYSTEM

In the proposed system, we are developing an android application for detecting weather condition reports at present location. This is similar to the web application and we can get same results but, existing system is not portable. We have used ABC algorithm for generating NASA existing data and also Naïve algorithm for forecasting data.

Data & Resources

The tools used by crews while on extravehicular activity during future missions to other bodies in the Solar System will be a combination of traditional geologic field tools (e.g. hammers, rakes, sample bags) and state-of-the-art technologies (e.g. high definition cameras, digital situational awareness devices, and new geologic tools). In the 2010 Desert Research and Technology Studies (RATS) field test, four crews, each consisting of an astronaut/engineer and field geologist, tested and evaluated various technologies during two weeks of simulated spacewalks in the San Francisco volcanic field, Arizona. These tools consisted of both Apollo-style field geology tools and modern technological equipment not used during the six Apollo lunar landings. The underlying exploration driver for this field test was to establish the protocols and technology needed for an eventual manned mission to an asteroid, the Moon, or Mars. The authors of this paper represent Desert RATS geologist crewmembers as well as two engineers who worked on technology development. Here we present an evaluation and assessment of these tools and technologies based on our first-hand experience of using them during the analog field test. We intend this to serve as a basis for continued development of technologies and protocols used for conducting planetary field geology as the Solar System exploration community moves forward into the next generation of planetary surface exploration
