It takes a long time for us to go to the hospital, have our blood values measured and get the results. Especially during this pandemic period this situation becomes more difficult. Based on this issue, we developed a bracelet with a sound and color sensor. With the help of the button color and sound sensor we added to the bracelet, we aim to measure people's blood values. People can easily learn the deficiencies in blood values with the change of color and sound after dropping blood samples into reagents. At the same time, this system can be applied by astronauts sent to space.
We observed that people are hesitant to go to the hospital to donate blood, especially during the pandemic period. Based on these observations, we think that people can easily take blood measurements and these results on their own without going to the hospital. Thus, we thought of developing a less costly system. We planned to add the color and sound sensor, one of the easiest methods, to our system. Then we did an experiment on vitamin E to prove its applicability. In this experiment, we used 65% nitric acid and 35% ethyl alcohol to drip blood samples from two individuals on top of the separator, taking advantage of the colour difference created by the blood of individuals who are deficient and not deficient in vitamin E. We observed that the results for individuals with vitamin E deficiency were yellow, and the ones for individuals without vitamin E deficiency were brown. In line with these observations, we added the color sensor and put it in the Arduino loop. In order to get more accurate information, we then added the sound sensor on the colour sensor.
