We are One (WAO) will be a social network, which can be accessed as a website or as an application. We developed this idea since social networks are one of the main ways people use to know what's going on in the world, communicate and have fun.
With this system, people will have access to data captured on various websites of space agencies, government agencies, partner institutions and NGOs. These data will alert about the needs of each location, so that citizens can identify nearby places that need some environmental assistance. .
With this, citizens will help in places in situations as diverse as deforestation, fires, earthquakes, storms, endangered species, places with uncontrolled garbage accumulation, animals run over or for adoption etc. In addition, they will be able to show that they help the environment inside their home and routine as consuming biodegradable, vegan products and that in production there is no testing on animals, production of organic and home gardens, reuse of disposable materials etc.
The good deeds will be posted on the WAO social network with photos, videos and texts, making everyone in your social connection and friends who follow you see your good deeds and be inspired to also do good deeds, so everyone will want to support the cause .
When creating the account, the user will have access to a scoring system per action, which will count everything the user does, scoring it per action, sharing, attracting new followers and helpers for the local need. This score will be taken to an accounting center for conversion into cash, which, in partnership with other institutions and private companies, will be donated to NGOs and projects that are part of the network.
When creating the account, the user will be classified according to his age, region where he lives, if he is a citizen or institution and what are the main types of good deeds he is most interested in.
Considering all the functionality of the system, WAO will have a great impact on society, which, little by little, will be able to perform small actions, gaining recognition for them, encouraging others to use them, and making the world a better place, because when it comes to the world, WE ARE ONE.
What inspired us the most was the opportunity to raise the sense that small actions together contribute to something bigger, making people feel motivated to make small changes in their daily lives, which together will improve the world.
In the current scenario of the world, social networks are great influencers, where everyone spends hours watching posts, so we believe it is one of the main ways to communicate people how they can help the world to become a better place.
Many NGOs sometimes lack financial sustainability or support from the community in their activities. With social networks then, they will have more visibility and support, I can always continue with their work.
For this, we think of simple languages like HTML for website development that will interact with the application, made in JAVA for the greatest visual interaction, in addition to Javascript and Css in the frontend.
We used data from Nasa and other organizations to show our user where we need changes to improve Earth's environmental condition
For example, NASA offers global fire tracking data every day, which we can show the user that they can do something about, such as reporting to an authority if the fire is illegal.
Data on air quality and its quantity of toxic gases, garbage and recycling and endangered animals will be presented, in the form of a graph, for example, alerting the user when appropriate.
We plan to use Nasa API in our softwares to access data we need
