The Next Step has received the following awards and nominations. Way to go!
We developed an application and website to connect people with NASA's satellite data. This application is important because it gives farmers tools to improve their crops. The application uses the data provided by satellite sensors and gives the person what they need to know such as humidity, biomass monitoring, water footprint, all in a quick and easy way. We hope to achieve with the application to improve agricultural productions as well as help developing countries.
This challenge took place because we saw in the news that due to the global pandemic, agricultural productions have been reduced. We use for the development of the web page (HTML5, Css, Java) and for the Application (Php and Java). The problems they had happened at the beginning because they had to create a way for the Apis to return the data that the user required in real time.
The data from the NASA satellites were very necessary for the project because it gave us in real time the information we needed about the climate. This was relevant to be able to calculate the humidity and other variables for the farmer.
