Our Project which consists on a video game with the special characteristics such as score system based on the search of Space debris Which poses as a big problem for the environment and also you get points on daily activities such as buying supplies for home, all the score system has an objective which is to create social awareness about the conditions that our nature is going through with this game people are going to notice the environmental effects of every purchase and choose they make. Through social awareness we are able to at least inform the masses of the harmful effects it can have on not just is but the world.
Describe how you developed your project
Together, we decided to choose the challenge of sustainability because we consider it important to improve the quality of life in the world and the possible outside of it, that is, in space. We believe that it is our responsibility as young people to forge a better future for the next generations and to make known what is happening in the world. Through our project we seek to generate an immediate change in the society that surrounds us to avoid complications in future generations with respect to the quality of air, water and other vital resources affected by pollution, of course it is not only produced by humans. On earth, also the well-known "space junk" located on satellites, which can be very dangerous for the earth, since traveling at high speed is a great threat.
Our approach is to use a visual and attractive way through a mobile video game that will allow us to raise awareness to all ages and awaken the desire to innovate, interactively, through the use of this video game which has two different aspects devised by our team, which are interconnected. We know that the development of a good application requires several programming skills that we clearly do not have right now, this is our greatest weakness as a team, however this was not a limiting factor, we manually made a diagram of what our interconnected applications would look like. We used canva (canva.com, 2020) to digitize our design, in a more creative way and visually. At the beginning, our problem was not knowing how to decide on a specific issue, we wanted to cover a lot of challenges, so we could not establish a realistic solution, and the time we had to do the project was very limited. Regarding that, all the achievements were a great success for us. Since we were able to establish excellent communication where the ideas between each of the group members were complemented, we were also able to identify reliable sources, we developed research skills, creativity, integrity, among many more, when creating our prototype.
Our inspiration comes from the leak of knowledge that a lot of people currently have about the space debris orbiting out planet. And by the other hand, how can we know how sustentable the products we are buying are? In order to approach these problematics, we are creating an app which has two different but interconnected parts:
The first one, a game where you have to catch space debris in a net, there are different level and you can earn points.

The second part, is something focus in products that we bought every day. App will shown information about how sustainable a product is, Based on records like: Production line sustainability, waste management, etc.

Designing the front end of the app we used canva (canva.com) as a tool and we need some extra knowledge about coding to make the actual app work, since we don't have much time to do this, we are focusing in the flow design and the scheme.
As a group we faced different challenges like different perspectives and ways to communicate, and we also changed our primary focus of investigation and development. Once we all were agree on a subject, we started to be more cooperative and patient with each other.
On NASA's official website, we found different articles related to space debris. In this way, we are able to generate knowledge of the behavior of this topic. We can imitate and get inspired in their movement and physical composition, that is essential for the design of our game. Through levels a card with information about space debris is going to appear, this content is based in NASA´S statements plus interesting facts of what scientists and people are doing to solve this problem, the origin and why space debris is dangerous. About contamination, inside the Earth, NASA is in charge of providing us photographs that are taken from stations and satellites that monitor the planet. Through this we can know what is going on with the state of contamination and how it has changed over the time. Coming to a conclusion, human actions have been the main reason for this effect, therefore, the app in the part of Earth is dedicated to motivate sustainable consumption with information about the product.
This a preview of our app, where you can see what would look like and the functioning. Due to the lack of time, we've been designing the front end.
