Sustaining Our Planet for Future Generations

There is concern worldwide that environmental issues we face today will have an impact on future generations. Your challenge is to create a way to communicate the importance of environmental responsibility to people of all ages.

Summary

A changing magnetic field creates Electricity - If you move a magnet back and forth over a wire connected in closed loop , it will create a current in the wire. Moving the magnet changes the magnetic field around the wire , and the changing magnetic field pushes the electrons through the wire. If you stop the magnet then current will also stop ,even the wire is still within the magnetic field because the magnetic field is no longer changing. If we connect the two ends of the wire to a light bulb and create a closed loop then the current can flow. Unfortunately, the current created by moving magnet over a single wire doesnot provide enough energy quickly enough to actually light the bulb

How We Addressed This Challenge

created energy in forms of electricity with the help of magnets. It is very important for our upcoming future because it do not cause any pollution ,it is very cheap in comparison to producing electricity using by coal (thermal), and hydro power . It works on the principal of electromagnetic theory. Hoping it will be very helpful for future generations and the planet earth.

How We Developed This Project

As we live in city of black diamond DHANBAD, JHARKHAND - (The coal capital of INDIA) , since our childhood we have seen millions of matric ton of coal is burned to produce electricity which causes huge amount of air pollution to the environment and also responsible for global warming . So we thought of developing something that can solve this problem and we created this project using two magnet and a piece of wire and a bulb.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We have read in the resources provided by NASA spaceapps challenge that they use similar technique of producing electricity in spacecrafts so we used that concept.

Data & Resources

We have gone through the several videos , links , documents provided by NASA Spaceapps Challenge and made the best use of that.
