Sustaining Our Planet for Future Generations

There is concern worldwide that environmental issues we face today will have an impact on future generations. Your challenge is to create a way to communicate the importance of environmental responsibility to people of all ages.

Our aim in this project, which we started with the slogan of save the world, live your future, is to

Summary

To summarize our project, one of the gases that cause significant air pollution is carbon dioxide. Using this information and NASA's Time Series map, we created a prototype in which we transport the carbon dioxide gas from the factory chimneys to an artificial pond, which contains lots of photosynthesis algae and plants. In addition, we used purple light with the least reflection in the leaf to increase the amount of photosynthesis. Our main goal in our project, which we created using all these, is to reduce air pollution and save the world with the least cost.

How We Addressed This Challenge

With this project, we will reduce air pollution, especially in industrial areas with high carbon dioxide levels. Our project is increasing the absorption of carbon dioxide gas, so we manage to control excessive air pollution.

How We Developed This Project

The knowledge that oceans absorb carbon dioxide inspired us to do this project. Proceeding from this knowledge, we brainstormed with our teammates, and as a result, we created an environmentally sensitive project. The biggest challenge we faced in doing this project was the research part.It was very difficult for us to access correct information because there is so much wrong information on the internet.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We used Times Series and many other NASA applications that measure carbon dioxide level in our project.

Project Demo

We made use of the Times Series map, which NASA is constantly updating while doing our project. This map contains information such as in which region the amount of carbon dioxide is high and thus in which part.
