This project has developed a mobile application for android that aims to raise user awareness about caring for the environment. The user will be able to obtain extensive news information about what is happening day by day, the information will be very varied and with reliable sources. The information will be open and you will be able to observe the weather conditions, relevant news, how you can contribute to help make this world better. It will also be possible to record the daily actions that are carried out and impact on the environment. You will be able to interact and share photographs of nature and its environment.

How We Addressed This Challenge

At the present time, we are going through great climatic changes, because there is a great pollution in the environment that affects and unbalances our environment. The objective of this project is to use the programming tools and create an app with environmental focus so that from the comfort where you are you can be informed of what is happening around the world regarding the environment. It is important because it helps keep people informed and more aware of what is happening in the environment to avoid imbalance and threats. What this app does is provide climatological news articles through important sources such as specialized organizations, sending a direct access, also has a section where there is interaction with people, where you can share photos of nature, and also provide opinions, as a forum for discussion, sharing a common good. It works from devices with android operating system, since it is an app with a very ecological and sustainable platform. It is hoped to make a conscious impact to help make this world better and preserve it for future generations.

How We Developed This Project

This App was created in order to make people aware of the situation in many parts of the world today to take care of the environment, no matter the age, but the desire to commit to make a change in their environment, also to be able to connect through the same tune. To make the ECO GLOBAL app, we used web page tools, for example Canva, to design the logo and menus, software and apps like Kodular, which is a programming environment that provides interesting improvements to the classic MIT App Inventor and that facilitates the design of the app screens, programming using visual blocks. Incorporating new components and their subsequent distribution to other people's mobile devices using a download and installation QR code. Firebase was also used for the login, which makes a connection to the server and creates an account verification. The problems that arose in the development of the app was one of login that was poorly programmed and another error was when linking to the server, did not establish the connection. But we managed to correct the mistakes and this provide excellent service.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

The data was very useful to stimulate creative thinking and innovation in natural resource management, climate change, etc. In addition to being able to obtain a lot of varied information and thus be able to implement it in our app. thus promoting knowledge and expanding a panorama to raise awareness of people. We used the data to retrieve some information from articles that are published, integrate them in an organizational way in the section of the app, which at the same time integrated a direct access.
