We designed an app called EcoPrints- Ecologial Footprints. EcoPrints is an eco-friendly social media platform that both educate and raise peoples awareness about ecological problems and pursue them for more eco friendly, recyclable lifestyle. In our app people not only could choose and complete various ecological challenges, such as recycling paper, walking or riding instead of driving, or getting energy only from renewable methods like solar, wind, water energy but also they can challenge their friends and make them eco friendly ass well/. Human nature is more prone to doing tasks that will gave them reward at the end, even in our childhood our parents encouraged us by saying: if your grades will be A or A+ throughout the week we will buy you whenever you.
So we decided to reward our users as well- when they complete challenges they will earn “leaf” and depending on challenge’s importance the amount of “leaves” will vary. Users could exchange these feet for various rewards such as discounts or free products from famous shops and sites. Such as if a person reached a certain number of leaves he/she can exchange them for e book, coffee or other products from our partner companies such as Amazon, Starbucks, Adidas or other sites. With the help of our app people will use recycling more, will put their efforts to save this planet for their next generations and be educated about what is happening on our planet.
The most influential factor that made us to chose this specific challenge is our children, in other words our future. We have learned one important thing from our parents: children are the only ropes or screws that keeps people, parents alive and tie them strongly to this challenging life, so in order to give our children and grandchildren the best possible future, we have chosen this challenge. We have created this idea with two key concepts on our minds- first to educate people about importance of ecological problems and deliver them live satellite data from space in the most accessible and entertaining way, second to persuade people to take step into an eco friendly live-style by an unique rewarding mechanism. We have develop our coded our site in HTML, CSS and will code our application using ASP.NET Core and React JS Our team consists of skilled individuals who are masters of their field;
Murad Nurubeyli- our developer and chief technology officer , who has created several examination platforms for various companies in Baku and have attended in various online lectures delivered by famous top rated universities and he has a research paper that will be published in ICTPE 2020(16th International Conference on "Technical and Physical Problems of Engineering ")
Arif Qahramanli - our pr/media manager and researcher, who has attended and won several project competitions with his project named SAPS(Smart anti Air Pollution System), and has taken leadership role in various international volunteering projects such as F1 and etc.
Javid Abdullayev- our chief researcher and business manager, who is the scientific researcher and young member of New Yor Academy of Sciences, and his writings have published in various international magazines.
Aysu Suleymanli- the founder of EcoPrints and our chief design officier, who has been awarded in various design and art competition, won gold medal in national painting competition in Azerbaijan .
We have used space agency -Nasa's data to provide statistics and show the importance of problem to people. While we are searching the essential data and crucial numerics for problems that we aim to solve, findings surprised and shocked us drastically. They thought us one important thing - the problem is far more dangerous than even we-developers- could imagine and needs immediate solving.
