Summary
We created a website which acts as an information database for people of all the generations. They could easily view the videos and photos available on the website and increase their awareness regarding the various events which are causing ecological imbalance and harming our planet. We have embedded two videos on the website which make the topic clear even to laymen.We have created a quiz which enables people to discover how much information they've grabbed from our website and share their scores on social media thus motivating others.We even tried to create an app using Android studio but we couldn't as this was our first hackathon and we're first-year students but we've learned a lot.
How We Addressed This Challenge
We developed a website. It is important because it makes the people aware of the situations posing as a threat to earth and needs immediate attention.
It has videos and photos which clearly shows important facts and events to create an awareness among the people.
We hope to bridge the generation gap when it comes to the awareness regarding our planet. We want people to make conscious efforts in order to make the earth a better place to live.
How We Developed This Project
We are more than aware of the harmful and alarming events happening in the world around us and we want people to be aware of it as well.
We used java to create an application in Android studio but as we are first year students we were still new to that domain and as a result we could not complete it.
We created our website using www.wix.com as we're beginners in web development.
We gathered resources from NASA and other space agencies and used Filmora and Microsoft ppt to make the videos.
The only problem was that we're beginners in application and web development so we couldn't do much in that domain.
The achievements were we learnt teamwork, video editing, shared different idea, gained more knowledge related to the environment and experienced our first hackathon.
