Summary
HEATHER is an online shopping website opened in 2020 by 6 teenagers in Tirana, Albania. The website was created as a participating project in NASA’s “Sustaining our planet for future generations.” challenge, that is why all of our products are handmade from reused waste. The concept: “Age doesn't matter when it comes to helping the environment.”Our goal is to utilize waste by turning it into a usable product or a form of art, therefore minimizing the amount of waste that goes into landfills and takes hundreds of years to decompose. The products we sell can be useful to all ages this way we can all participate in a good cause, saving our planet.
How We Addressed This Challenge
We developed an online shopping website where you can find handmade products from reused waste. as we all now, shopping is something that all ages like to do so we thought: "Why don't we use this fact to give everyone a message?" . This way, we came with the idea for this website.
How We Developed This Project
Since environmental problems affect all of us, we wanted to be a helping hand with as much as we could. The website seemed like the perfect idea since in todays day and age everybody prefers shopping from the comfort of their own home. Turning waste into decorations was also our way of giving back something beautiful, as the saying goes, “A mans trash is another mans treasure.”, quite literally.
We used WIX to create this website.
How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project
We saw so many problems that Earth is facing through the data provided by NASA and its partner agencies. This problems are increasing day by day so we thought that taking actions is an immediate thing we should do.
