There is concern worldwide that environmental issues we face today will have an impact on future generations. Your challenge is to create a way to communicate the importance of environmental responsibility to people of all ages.

IPSVM TRACKER

Summary

We are the IPSVM Tracker, which literally means "dirt tracker" and we have developed a system where graphene is used for the desalination and purification of contaminated water.By building a network where the public with a shortage of drinking water reports the problem and using NASA satellites, we will be able to map the most affected areas and implement a quality system for industrial disposal.In addition to the enormous environmental impact, the IPSVM aims to collaborate with society as a whole, since part of the profits will be used to make the system viable in needy communities.

How We Addressed This Challenge

We developed a website wich aims to inform everyone about how graphene can be used to clean water and make it drinkable. Also, our website allows anyone to send a message and tell us about polluted water in their region, so we can take action.

How We Developed This Project

The team's inspiration was the desire to find a solution that reaches the population globally. And have an emphasis on environmental and social impact. Bringing clean water to the entire population is one of the ways to end poverty and death.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We use NASA data to find information about water quality in the world and how long we will have drinking water available.
