Summary
There are many problems if we don't sustain our planet and resources, like global warming is a rising issue which is leading to gradual increase in Sea level, also deforestation is a major concern for future generation.Due to this, biodiversity is also negatively affected. Global Warming increases sea level, and lower areas are getting sub-merged. Pollution is also a point which must be taken in consideration.The Project also focuses on the solution of these problems created. Most of the problems have a common solution afforestation.We still have time, so let's get aware about it and start sustaining our Mother Earth.
How We Addressed This Challenge
Our topic is "Sustaining Our Planet for Future Generation". For this we developed a video we also made a PPT on effects of Not Sustaining Our Planet, and added many graphics during editing our project.
In Modern date it is very Important to Save our planet, and make wise use of resources, so it is available to next generations also. And by this Project we are trying to make an international appeal to every human being to Conserve the resources on this planet and try not to pollute our environment.
We hope we can convince more people through our Project to help us accomplish our 'Mission to save Mother Earth'...
How We Developed This Project
Why we took Up this activity?
So once I conducted an activity in which we took 5 bowls and 25 students. Then 25 students were divided into 5 groups, each group having 5 students. Then the five bowls were filled with chocolates, sweets, candies, etc. Then group 1 was called upon and was asked to take any kind of meal in any amount and it was asked to other groups also to do so. The results were that group 1 and 2 enjoyed plenty of food, group 3 was having less meal and finally there was much less for group 4 and least for group 5.
So this activity was conducted to understand the importance of sustainability.
Here the sweets, chocolates, candies depicted the total available Resources of the world. The group of students depicted the total number of humans present on Earth. Group 1 to Group 5 represented the Generations.
As you saw that 1st and 2nd Generation was available with plenty of resources and they enjoyed, 3rd Generation had to struggle a little bit, and 4th and 5th Generation was left with the least resources and was not able to meet their needs.
So this is the best example to understand the Importance of Sustaining. Lets start sustaining our Mother Earth and give a chance to our future generations to enjoy the resources.
How we made this Project?
We made this project after long researches on different websites, we mainly took data from NASA websites and wikipedia. We used many softwares on our mobiles and computers to make this project a successful one, the softwares are: Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Word and Pinterest.

What problems we faced?
We faced some problems during all this such as initially we were unable to join a team from the NASA Space Apps Challenge website, but then after some surfing and after a couple we tries we made a powerful team. Also while making the video we facing some network issues for sharing the final edited video to our team, but we managed that too. Also there was time lag between USA and India so we face that problem for submission of this, here the project tab opened almost 15-20 hours late.

Few Other solutions we have derived-
Base of Future: Electrification
Now-a-days even the railway tracks can be electrified to reduce the consumption of diesel. The diesel locomotives are frequently being replaced by electric locomotives which will reduce the usage of diesel in railway sector, and conserve that much of resource. Even an individual coach can be fitted with solar panels on their top so that each coach will be able to generate their own energy.
Solution To Pollution!
Automobile vehicles are the main concerns for acid rains. I recently got to know about a person who used kind of purifier in exhaust pipe of automobile vehicles which separated carbon particles from the exhaust. He used these carbon particles to make leads of pencils. This is a innovative solution for CO2 pollution in air, by doing so we can also start a initiative to reduce global warming.
Great Solution for Agriculturists:
In some areas where heavy rainfall occurs at that place the excess water destroys the crops. So, in that case we can make a alternative rows of Solar Panels which are perpendicular to field and are connected with each other through a system, with a common switch. When heavy rainfall occurs, and the farmer thinks that the crops have got sufficient water then we would switch on the system of Solar panels which would be covering the crops making a gentle slope towards a small water reservoir, which stores water during excess rain and can be used afterwards when needed in the field.
Similarly, when crops don't need excess sunlight that time also that system of solar panels would be useful for generating electricity, and that also can be used later on for motors for drawing wells.
