Summary

The wellbeing of our home planet have developed significantly over the globe in late decades. Some ongoing investigations give proof of a generational hole, with more youthful ages progressively referring to ecological issues as a top concern. So we have thought of a solution which function is to communicate the importance of sustaining our home planet to people of all generations.so we have created a real time mobile browser application called “Green Browser” .There will be quizzes, quotes and will predict the weather and give task to the user .Hope that a user can be aware of environment change and will realize the importance of sustainable planet for future generations by this browser.

How We Addressed This Challenge

Green Browser is a real time internet browser mobile application that will make us aware about environment and nature through becoming a part of our daily habit of internet browsing.It’s like-to kill two birds with one stone.

That’s why,team ORION going to address such a internet browser which will convey some quizes depending on the informations getting from NASA database. Everyday a user has to answer 5 easy questions and get points. Through it the user will get pleasure like playing a mobile game and along with this he will feel a urge to love to nature and protect this world. Besides, the quotes and words of the wise which will shown to the homepage of the browser or sending as a notification , may create love for nature. This browser will also give some environment friendly daily and weekly task for users.

Preventing climate change our apps will also send them news from NASA’s recent explorations and research report. We will include to this application many effective features soon which will show the weather of the user’s area and alarm him before any natural disaster, which will also show some areas around user’s where he can plant trees and many more.

How We Developed This Project

When the NASA Space Apps Challenge- 2020 Hackathon was released, a group of engineering students from JKKNIU, Mymensingh, Bangladesh was driven by the desire to make a difference and decided to accept the challenge.

After this, we decided the path we were choosing. We made a brainstorm session to decide our main problem. At this session, each member gave at least 2 ideas, and we choose the ones that made more sense for the group.

We noticed that there is concern worldwide that environmental issues we face today will have an impact on future generations and we knew that a solution would be to perform a preventive approach. For example,

Thinking about this, we wanted to work about create a way to communicate the importance of environmental responsibility to people of all ages. To fulfill our challenge, we started to collect more nature related information from NASA database.

The team used information from NASA database for making quizzes.

During the creation process of an unique internet browser application name-'Green Browser' , the team used a lot of tools such as modern app creator

Team “ORION” used a graphic design platform, to create the Presentation Deck, and use Microsoft power point to create many slide. Most of the pictures and graphs are collected from NASA Data resources.

In this hackathon, our team faced a lot of challenges, some of them were:

How to use the dataset, since we have never tried to use them before, so this took a lot of time from the team;

Deciding how we were going to demonstrate our solution, because while the video causes more disturbance , a deck has more information about the project and its solutions; and

Technical difficulties, both on our apps development. Among these difficulties, the most challenging one was our final innovative idea.

Besides all these problems, we need to celebrate our wins, and the bigger ones were:

The team communication was flawless;

We were able to create the' Green Browser'.

And we are hopeful about creating more effective features soon.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

First we have searched Nasa's website then we have searched information about earth, air, climate, water ,ocean, and many other things. we collect more important links. Besides Nasa's database ,we collect data from JAXA ,CNES. Moreover, we have collected data from Government, non government website also.
