The project was developed from the need to teach in a simple and dynamic way, as well as to involve people, in the process of environmental (re) education. Taking into account the importance of conscious water consumption, we have developed a methodology that accompanies technological growth that alerts the user through direct interaction with positive or negative situations regarding environmental care. It is hoped to be able to apply such methodology in the form of a short film or application, in order to obtain greater propagation with regard to a youth audience, or even to other age groups.
According to research, Amapá wastes 66% of treated water. For every 100 liters of treated water ready for distribution, 66 liters are on the way. In comparison to the national average of 38% treated water waste, Amapá has one of the highest loss rates, even considering its population mass; all over the country, the physical losses caused by leaks registered by the collection and distribution system, lead to a great avoidance of the volume in the route that would supply 30% of the Brazilian population for a year.
Starting from the proposed challenge, we devised a methodology to democratize information on conscious consumption in a simple way. It consists of providing the direct interaction of the viewer with a short film, presenting various situations where he can decide what to do and from that choice show the consequences, giving him the opportunity to return and have a different one from the previous one if it takes him To this. This type of interaction with the spectator is a novelty in the technological environment, which is why it draws attention and encourages young people to experience this advancement in entertainment while being alerted to the adversities arising from human interventions, as well as older people are also led rethink habits harmful to the environment and inform them about relevant current issues.
Finally, the short also has the choice of age group, causing the story to be changed to adapt events for each group, seeking to be more impactful and alert according to each generation.
Reading the article about the importance of talking about a global water problem, alerted us to the necessity of conscious consumption and to understand NASA's interests in mapping drinking water.
The Our Water is a short film that will allow direct user interaction for the outcome of pre-established situations that involve an environmental issue. The goal is to make the public of all ages to experience issues relevant to society in a simple and current way while having fun.
