We concentrate on prevention rather than cure and that is the main thing we hope to achieve. Making people aware of the problems is helpful but making them help with preventing the crisis all together is far better in our opinion. As we've said "an ounce of prevention is far better than pounds of cure."
The inspiration for choosing this project was immense concern to the environment and the fact that youngsters were really involved in a few applications that gave them certain benefits but didn't seem very helpful. It got us thinking about what if we made something similar but used it instead for saving the environment. We prevent crisis like marine pollution and create awareness of how people can do the same and also get benefitted by it.
The NASA Physical Oceanography Program assists in the study of plastic pollution of the ocean. Oceanography can predict where one might look for open ocean garbage patches. By using multiple remote sensors, scientists can quickly estimate the nature and thickness of oil spills—important factors for containment efforts.
