SAT - Sustaining All Together

Summary

SAT is a group of friends that want to change the world. SAT is an acronym and it means: "Sustaining All Together". We've created an app, "S-APP" where we put together fun with information. In this app there are some games: the QR Game and The “Right” Game. The funniest is the second one, because you have to put garbage in a basket saving the flowers. The first, is an informative game; in fact, you have to read three articles about climate change and after the reading you have to answer at 10 questions with true or false. The goal of this game is to earn as many tokens as possible. They need to be spent in the app.

How We Addressed This Challenge

In this two days, we developed an application and a website, that is our landing page were you can find all the information about our project (coding, games, leaks, about us etc etc.) It is important because we think that a lot of people need to be stimulated to do something for the ambient. The application has three games which in everyone you can earn tokens that you can spent in the app. The first game is: The QR Game. You need to scan a QR code on a water-bottle and you have to do once a day. For every scan, you will earn a token. The second game is: there are three articles about climate change and they are: effects, causes and evidence. You have to read all the three articles and remember it. After reading, there are 10 questions and you have to answer with true or false, for every correct answer, you will earn a token. In the last game there is a garbage basket where you have to clean all the lawn, centering the basket and letting go the flowers. For every rubbish collected, you will earn tokens.

How We Developed This Project

We have chosen this challenge because every year we protest against the climate changes and we have partecipated in so many events about the respect and the cure of the nature and now, we want to put ourself in the challenge wanting to change something. We are 6 young guys, we are 16/17 years old without much experience, but neverthless we want to realize what we can do, changing the world step by step. We have not the same skills, but different: somebody is good at programming, a few are great at designing and some at speaking in public. "All together", with our skills, we founded SAT. The only problem of developing is the distance between us but we have to give one's best for this project. We think that, also starting by an app, we can change something and we hope that...

The QR Codes are been created on Visual Studio Code, using the code language "python" thanks to the external libraries "png","pyqrcode" and "pygame"; logo's are made on photo editing's program and it's all been published on github. S-App has been developed on "MIT App Inventor" ambient. The Video Presentation has been made with "Da Vinci Resolve Video Editor"

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We have used space agency's dates in two ways: the first one is to put a Eco-Tips in the QR codes. In this way, we have make the reading more enjoyable and more inviting about eco-system topics. The second one is about the formation. We have tried to sensitise and encourage people to be informed about contemporary themes of the life of the world.
